To the Editor:

Nessel Township’s “first” Clean-Up Day took place on Aug. 23 and was very successful, with many requests from residents that this become an annual event.

A thank you goes out to all who brought their “goodies and treasured items” to us, and another thank you to Evergreen Recycling for carting it all away. However the biggest thank you has to go to all the volunteers who made this event happen -- Larry Steves, Ron Eiden, Rich Ronning, Candy Olson, Bill Welch, Tim Oberg, Dennis Leinenger, Jim Willie, Tom McKenzie, Jim Ronning, Myron Twingstrom, Ray Henderson, Stan Iskierka, and Helen Leier.

This “clean-up” would not have taken place without the help of so many willing volunteers.
